About the Role

As a Network & Server Administrator at VirtuThinko, you will be responsible for the implementation, management, and maintenance of enterprise network and server systems. This role requires deep expertise in system administration, server migration, and network security. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime of critical systems while also driving long-term strategies for infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience in server and network management, and the ability to manage disaster recovery protocols. Job Description

Server and Network Management

• Implement and deploy Windows clients & Windows-based servers, including disaster protection and DNS/WINS name resolution.
• Manage Windows networks, shared network resources, DNS, network security, and web services.
• Administer Active Directory replication, operation masters, and maintain the Active Directory database.
• Manage network workflows integrated with email and development tools.

Patch and Vulnerability Management

• Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability scans, ensuring timely resolution of security issues.
• Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Implement and manage tape libraries, VMware virtualization, and backup systems (IBM Tivoli).

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, IT operations, and development teams to optimize system performance and security.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot reported problems across network protocols, drivers, and hardware failures.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Security and Disaster Recovery

• Design and implement security control standards and procedures for servers, users, databases, and shared resources.
• Setup operational procedures for disaster recovery, including backup/restore of shared resources.
• Perform regular backups and ensure offsite backup deposit and testing.

System Performance and Optimization

• Analyze system logs, perform routine audits, and identify potential issues.
• Propose and implement system upgrades to improve performance, such as hardware updates (HDD, RAM) and messaging systems.
• Monitor and report on network and system performance, making adjustments to optimize uptime.

Certifications and Experience

• Must be a graduate or postgraduate in System Engineering or relevant technologies.
• Professional certifications from Microsoft, such as MCSE for Windows Server and MS Exchange, are required.
• Experience managing Microsoft Servers Environment, including Microsoft Server 2008, 2012, and newer versions, as well as Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, and beyond.
• Experience in managing VMware Virtualization environments and related migration projects.
• Proficiency in managing AWS environments and Office 365 environments, including related migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with backup systems such as IBM Tivoli, tape libraries, and SQL Server management.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in managing time attendance systems (hardware and software).
• Experience with network security, firewalls, and remote access configuration.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including problem resolution for hardware and software failures.
• Ability to implement and maintain office productivity tools, antivirus systems, and network protocols.

Certifications

• Microsoft MCSE (Windows Server, MS Exchange)
• VMware Certification (desirable)
• AWS Certification (desirable)

Required Experience

• Minimum of 7 years in IT industry, with experience in system administration, installation, and migration projects.
• Experience in handling enterprise-level Microsoft Servers, including extensive experience in VMware, Office 365, and SQL environments.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support 24/7 for urgent technical issues.
• Participate in domestic travel as required for project implementations and support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, software, and updates.
